46. The Wreck of the Zanzibar by Michael Morpurgo
This is a sweet story about life on an island in Sicily. While it depicts hardships and family squabbles, it is really sweet and uplifting.
47. Death, and the Girl He Loves by Darynda Jones
The last one in the trilogy! Darynda makes me laugh, and I need that right now. Thankfully, her newest Charley is coming out practically now, so I'll be reading it soon!! The question is do I read something in between or just dive in...

48. Murder in Montparnasse by Kerry Greenwood
This is book 12 in the Phryne Fisher series, and I liked it, but not quite as much as Away with the Fairies.
49. The Curse of the Tenth Grave by Darynda Jones
This is the 10 (or 11th depending on how you count... and I come down on the side of 11) in the Charley Davidson series. She makes me laugh, so I love this series!!
50. The Hundredth Monkey by Ken Keyes, Jr.
This nonfiction book is from 1989 (second edition). I had heard the story of the hundredth monkey, but I didn't know that this book was spreading the idea of the dangers of nuclear technology (both weapons and power plants). It's a quick but depressing read, even more so if you grew up feeling the dangers of nuclear war in a very real ever-present danger, which I did.
