Coronavirus: Sheltering in Place Installment #8 Black Lives Matter

There are a million lists out there now about the books to read to educate yourself about race. Lists of black authors. List of black owned businesses. I haven't been collecting them all. But I love reading BookRiot lists (which are sometimes links to other lists), so I've put a bunch here for you.

Children's books & Children's books & Children's books!
Middle grade books!
YA books & a book I read because of BookRiot but not jumping out on lists right now.
Romance novels!!!
Upcoming books!
Must-reads & More & More!
Black history Month
Caribbean Reads!
The Zora Canon!!
Toni Morrison Recommendations!

Not BookRiot but is mine...
I adore Nnedi Okafor's books so here's a link for her books!!

I don't have a pinterest account so I can't look at too many but I love the title: 50 Beautiful Book Covers Featuring Black Women! Which makes me think I should share one of my all time favorite book covers ever!!!

That is by no means an exhaustive list. It is a mere scratch at the surface!! Go forth and find more! Find what excites you!!

Here's an interesting article about #PublishingPaidMe!!

Here I have a list of podcasts that I love that, while most are not about race specifically, do talk about race in smart and interesting ways and have diverse staff/production teams.

Code Switch

LeVar Burton Reads (Seems to not be active during the pandemic)

Spooked (No longer free...)

Again, not comprehensive but it's my list of things that involve race but are always about heavy hard stuff. We have to celebrate each other too and these podcasts do that too!! (Well, On the Media is pretty heavy all the time....)
